Ultra-slim aluminium frames, floor-to-ceiling glass, and effortless gliding operation. Our aluminium sliding doors create a seamless connection between your home and garden.
Aluminium sliding doors are the contemporary answer to indoor-outdoor living. Unlike bifold doors, sliding panels glide on precision stainless steel rollers within the same floor-to-ceiling footprint, meaning you don't need clear space inside or outside for panels to swing open. The result is a fluid, effortless connection between your living space and your garden.
Aluminium's strength-to-weight ratio allows frames as narrow as 30mm between panes - a fraction of what PVC can achieve. This means your view is dominated by glass, not frame. In 2, 3, or 4-panel configurations, our aluminium sliding doors can span widths of over 6 metres, creating a panoramic opening that transforms the feel of any room.
Every aluminium sliding door we supply is powder-coated to your specification. Choose the same colour inside and out for a cohesive design, or select contrasting tones to complement your interior decor while matching your external facade. The durable powder-coat finish resists fading, chipping, and corrosion for decades without any painting required.
A polyamide thermal break runs through every profile, preventing cold-bridging and condensation. Multi-point locking hooks engage automatically when the door is closed, meeting and exceeding Irish Building Regulations for thermal performance and security.
Frames as narrow as 30mm maximise your glass area and your view. Clean lines that suit both modern extensions and period renovations.
Precision stainless steel rollers glide silently on a bottom track. Even a large 3-metre panel opens with minimal effort, year after year.
Powder-coated in any RAL shade with dual-colour options. Match your windows, your front door, or create a striking design statement.
Multi-point locking with anti-lift and anti-pry protection as standard. Your home is secured at multiple points along the frame when closed.
Polyamide thermal break prevents cold-bridging. Combined with A-rated double or triple glazing, energy performance is excellent.
Slide open a wall of glass and watch your living room flow seamlessly into your outdoor space. Perfect for rear extensions and garden rooms.
"We had a rear extension built and WOW installed a 4-panel aluminium sliding door in Anthracite Grey. The difference it makes to the room is extraordinary - on a bright day the garden genuinely feels like part of the living space. The frames are incredibly slim and the glass is huge. The operation is smooth and silent. Absolutely delighted with the result."
"Replaced old wooden patio doors with a 3-panel aluminium slider from WOW. The slimness of the frame versus what we had before is remarkable. The kitchen is so much brighter. Fitting was quick and professional and the price was very competitive. Great company to deal with."
"WOW installed a dual-colour aluminium slider - Anthracite outside and white inside - and it looks phenomenal. The surveyor spent time explaining every option and the fitting team were meticulous. We've had them six months now and they still glide as smoothly as the day they were installed."
Individual panels can typically reach up to 3 metres wide and 2.7 metres tall before weight and structural glass constraints come into play. In a 4-panel configuration, a total opening width of over 6 metres is achievable. The exact maximum depends on the profile system specified and the glass unit weight. Our surveyor will assess your opening and recommend the optimal configuration during your free home survey.
Both are excellent options but they suit different needs. Bifold doors fold and stack to one or both sides, giving you a completely clear, fully open aperture when folded back. Sliding doors, by contrast, always have at least one panel covering part of the opening - typically the fixed panel. However, sliding doors require no clear stacking space either inside or outside, which makes them ideal for tight spaces. Their slim sightlines also mean more glass area in the closed position. Sliding doors tend to have a lower-profile, more architecturally clean look, while bifolds suit those who want the widest possible open span.
Yes. Our low-profile and near-flush threshold options are designed with accessibility and safety in mind, meeting Part M building regulations. The threshold presents a very small step - typically 15-20mm - which is virtually imperceptible underfoot. The track is recessed and does not present a significant trip hazard. For families with young children or elderly relatives, this is often the preferred option as it allows the indoor and outdoor spaces to flow naturally without barriers.
Aluminium sliding doors are very low maintenance. The powder-coated frames only need an occasional wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent - no painting, staining, or treating is ever required. The bottom track should be kept clear of debris (leaves, grit) which can affect the roller operation; a soft brush or vacuum works well. The rollers and locking points benefit from a light application of silicone spray lubricant once a year. If you notice any stiffness in operation, contact us - it may simply need a roller height adjustment, which is a quick fix.
