Fold the wall away. Our bifold doors stack neatly to one or both sides, creating a wide, uninterrupted opening that brings your garden directly into your home.
Nothing transforms a home like bifold doors. When you fold open 4, 5, or 6 panels and they stack neatly against the wall, you are left with a clear, unobstructed aperture the full width of your opening. The boundary between inside and outside dissolves completely. It is the closest thing to removing a wall without the structural work.
We supply bifold doors in 2 to 7 panel configurations. For openings up to about 2.4 metres, a 2 or 3-panel set works beautifully. Wider openings of 4 to 6 metres suit 4, 5, or 6 panels. All panels can stack to the left, to the right, or split and stack to both sides, depending on your space and preference. We also offer a traffic door option, which allows you to open just one panel independently - perfect for stepping in and out to the garden without opening the whole set.
Our aluminium bifold doors achieve an A++ energy rating when paired with our high-performance double glazed units. Triple glazing is also available for maximum thermal efficiency. Thermally broken aluminium profiles and low-e argon-filled glass units keep the warmth in and the cold out, even during Irish winters.
Choose from aluminium (slim sightlines, any RAL colour), PVC (great value, excellent performance), or aluclad (timber inside, aluminium outside) to best suit your home's design. A 15mm flush threshold option is available for seamless indoor-outdoor access.
With up to 7 panels folding and stacking to the side, bifold doors offer the widest fully clear opening of any door system. The wall truly disappears.
Fold the doors back and your living room becomes a seamless extension of your garden. Perfect for entertaining, summer evenings, and family gatherings.
Open just one panel for everyday use without engaging the full bifold mechanism. Practical for daily access without disturbing the rest of the set.
High-performance thermally broken frames and low-e double or triple glazed units achieve A++ energy ratings, minimising heat loss.
Every panel is secured by multi-point locking when the doors are closed. The master door locks independently at multiple points for robust overnight security.
Available in aluminium, PVC, or aluclad. Any RAL colour, dual-colour options, and a choice of handle finishes to match your interior design scheme.
"We built a rear kitchen extension and WOW installed a 5-panel aluminium bifold across the full back wall. The first time we opened them all the way, we genuinely got emotional - the room had been so dark before and now in summer it just becomes the garden. The kids practically live outside now. The quality is exceptional and the fitting team were brilliant."
"Had a 4-panel bifold installed on our garden room. WOW were brilliant from start to finish - quick survey, clear quote, no surprises. The doors are in Anthracite Grey and they look stunning. The traffic door is really handy for just popping out to the garden. Very happy customers here."
"We replaced old French doors with a 3-panel bifold and the difference is massive. More light, wider opening, and so much better looking. The WOW team were professional and the price was better than any other quote we got. The doors are really well made and have been perfect all through winter."
As a general guide: a 2-panel set suits openings from about 1.2 to 1.8 metres; 3 panels covers 1.8 to 2.7 metres; 4 panels suits 2.7 to 3.6 metres; 5 panels covers 3.6 to 4.5 metres; and 6 or 7 panels can span openings up to 6 metres or more. Individual panel widths typically range from 600mm to 1000mm. Our surveyor will measure your exact opening and recommend the optimal number of panels to give you the best balance of proportions and maximum opening width. All measurements are taken at your free home survey.
Aluminium bifold doors need very little maintenance. Wipe the frames down with a damp cloth and mild soapy water a couple of times a year. The bottom track should be kept clear of leaves and grit, which can affect the rollers - a brush or vacuum works well. The hinges and locking points benefit from a small amount of silicone spray lubricant once a year to keep everything operating smoothly. Avoid oil-based lubricants as these can attract dirt. The glass can be cleaned using any standard glass cleaner.
Yes. Bifold doors can be configured to fold inward or outward. Outward-opening is more common as it maximises the usable floor space inside the room, but inward-opening is the better choice where there is no room on the outside for panels to swing out (for example, where the patio is tight or level with the sill). Inward-opening also means you can open the doors when it is raining without the panels getting wet before you can stand back. Our surveyor will discuss the best opening direction for your specific space.
We offer several threshold options to suit different requirements. A standard rebated threshold provides excellent weather sealing and is suitable for most installations. A low-profile 15mm threshold creates a near-level transition between inside and out, meeting Part M accessibility requirements, and is very popular for rear extensions where you want a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. A fully flush threshold is also available for the most level possible transition, though this requires careful detailing to manage drainage. We will discuss the best option for your floor levels and drainage during the survey.
